I have suffered from Sunday night anxiety for some time now. I tend to get really down and depressed on Sunday nights. Apparently this is a thing and many people who have anxiety get increased anxiety on Sunday nights. I think over the years it has became a little better when I started incorporating more focus driven tasks I could do on a Sunday night to get my mind off the week ahead. I started doing more things I enjoy….taking lot hot showers and getting into my pajamas earlier, doing more chorus on Saturdays so I can relax more on Sundays, and planning out my week ahead. I sit down every Sunday evening with a pen and paper and I write down in my planner everything that needs to get done and I divide it up (yes including the little things like laundry). I find it helps me clear my mind and knowing I won’t be overwhelmed on one particular day. Another thing I like to do is to watch funny shows right before I go to bed (Golden girls and I love Lucy are my favs). I find it helps me relax and puts me in a good mood before heading to bed.
Hope you have a great Sunday Night!
